Hotel Rennschuh

We’ve stayed here several times, and they get everything right. Madala helped us yesterday and this morning, and he’s one of the nicest, most helpful hotel workers I’ve ever met. We stayed at the Ritz last time and the treatment here is still just as good, or even better. Make sure to enjoy the sauna and swimming pool.

For €61 a night in a single room, I got a clean place, a nice, comfy bed and a great breakfast, so it was a good deal for me and worth five stars. Breakfast is a buffet from 6:30am to 10:00am, with a really nice, wide variety of food. I don’t understand why people give this hotel one star.

For an inexpensive one night stay, it was OK and the breakfast had a very good, wide selection. We had two rooms. The second floor room for two had more space and a much better bathroom. The ground floor room felt cramped with three beds and hardly any floor space, though it was very clean apart from the bathroom, where there was mold and the drains only let water through slowly. The fixtures were old, cracked and need replacing. There are some restaurants and shopping areas close by, and the hotel is conveniently near the Autobahn.

I expected an old hotel and got a very clean, small room with a single bed, so I have no complaints. The room dimensions might make it a bit pricey, but I was satisfied otherwise. Breakfast was plain, though the espresso coffee was very good.
