Logis Hotel QUARTIER 5

The hotel is beautiful, but our stay was let down by poor service. The manager's passive-aggressive behavior made us uncomfortable from the start. When we politely asked for a quieter table in a nearly empty restaurant, she seemed visibly irritated. Later, we overheard her say, “they just have different brains,” which felt unkind and unprofessional. After we left, the owner called personally to find out what had happened. He listened with care, said the hotel is a safe and welcoming place for LGBTQIA+ guests, and explained that he saw this as a service failure, not an issue with us being queer. We appreciated his honesty, empathy, and thoughtful follow-up. It was a great example of empathy and ally-ship. We've changed our rating from 1 to 3 stars because of that response. The experience with the manager still left a bad impression, but the owner's follow-up showed a real commitment to accountability and inclusion.

The room was small and dusty, and the waiter was unsanitary. The hotel manager seemed completely unqualified and didn't treat her own staff very well. As a vegan, I was treated poorly. At the buffet, which was full of cut fruit from the day before, she judged me in front of other guests over something futile. This was way overpriced, a farce that might seem like a four-star experience on the surface. Stars mean nothing if you don't put all your guests first and treat your staff well. Don't go here.

Riding up to this hotel by bike is quite a workout. Dinner was delicious, and the dessert was outstanding, though the chocolate crumbs were a bit burned. The restaurant waiters weren't attentive. We had to get the menus for dessert ourselves, then ask again for them to come take our orders. The hotel charged us for the rooms a second time even though we'd prepaid. We had to spot it ourselves and complain to Booking.com. Be aware.

Everyone at the hotel was lovely, friendly, and eager to help. We felt at home and would be happy to return. Our one-night stay was in a freshly renovated double room with a balcony, spotlessly clean and decorated with lots of lovely details. The hotel is in a small, calm village and has everything for a great holiday. On arrival there was a bottle of water and some chocolate, a very nice gesture. Alexa in every room was a cool touch. The bathroom had everything we needed, including shampoo and shower gel, a shower cap, proper hair dryer, cotton pads and swabs, and even a nail file. The hotel restaurant was great too. We loved the goose with apple, the tasty cheese plate, and the nice wine. Breakfast was wonderful, with yummy coffee in all kinds of varieties, sparkling wine, a selection of cheese, fruit, tasty homemade marmalade, and plenty more.
