Hotel Silesia

The room was spacious and nice, and breakfast was delicious. What really stood out was the staff: I’d left my wedding and engagement rings behind without realizing it, but they found them, called me, and sent them back. That kind of service makes you want to return. I can only recommend this hotel!

We held a week-long conference here for ten people from the US and Poland, and it went perfectly. The staff looked after us so well and were gracious, kind, and professional. The conference room had a massive TV that suited our needs, and the Manager, Rolf, spoke perfect English and arranged our nightly dinner reservations. I hope we can come back one day!

I stayed from 15 to 18 June. There was no receptionist, so to get into the hotel you had to call the number on the door. If you don’t have a cell phone or its battery is dead, you can’t get in. Although most of the rooms seemed empty, they put us in a small room under the roof, with a soft, awful bed, even though I’d paid for a regular room. The person in charge took too much money from me unfairly. Breakfast wasn’t bad.

We stayed in winter, and our room was simply cold, if not freezing. The old carpet was dirty from age, and the old doors and windows squeaked and weren’t airtight. The place didn’t feel cozy at all, and I definitely wouldn’t call it a four-star hotel. The restaurant was closed when we arrived at 9 pm, so we couldn’t get a meal. There was no electric kettle in the room, so we had to ask for one. The hotel is also near a busy street, which gets quite loud in the morning.
