The staff managed to fit us in for dinner despite it being Carnival and the two of us not having a reservation. The food was excellent. Thank you, it was a very important evening for us.

Our group had generous portions, with the choice of a vegetarian meal or a regular one. We stayed at the hotel as part of a tour, and our room was good, facing the parking lot so we could leave the window open at night. Breakfast was good, though we wished there had been tea or a way to make our own. Evening service could have been better. From the second night on, we often waited quite a while for our meals after being out all day. Drinks came quickly, but the food was slow, at least in our view. I'd give it a fair four stars with a plus. Those points kept it from meeting the full five-star standard for us.

We stayed in a holiday apartment in town, so I can't say anything about the hotel. We ate at the beer garden a few times and really enjoyed it. The food and service were excellent.
