The garden and outdoor spaces at Gästehaus Richter feel like a little paradise. The rooms are lovely too, and the hosts are friendly and make sure you have what you need. I've never felt so at ease and close to nature. I'll definitely come back :)

Grainau was a lovely base, peaceful compared with busy Garmisch, with restaurants nearby and easy bus or train connections to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Zugspitze. We only stayed two nights and wished we'd booked more. Can't wait to return! Sandra made us feel at home right away. She was warm, happy to chat, and gave us useful tips for getting around. The hosts live on the property, which gives the place the feel of a home rather than an anonymous rental. Our terrace faced the mountains, with a stunning view of Zugspitze. The yard is beautifully laid out, with cozy places to sit and a small pool for cooling off on hot days. Inside, the room seemed almost new, modern, spotless, and practical. The kitchen had a proper hob and all the utensils for cooking at home, though we mostly ate out. The bed was just right, and the bathroom window made it feel bright and fresh. We arrived by car around midday, before check-in time, but the room was already ready. Parking right outside the guesthouse made things easy too. One of the best stays we've had, highly recommend!

The owners are so friendly and ready to help, and the recently renovated house made us feel at ease as soon as we walked in. The guesthouse gets a 10/10 from us. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from, including eggs and veggie or vegan options.

Gästehaus Richter was one of the best parts of our honeymoon. The area around it is gorgeous, and the warm, wonderful hospitality made it feel like home away from home. We're so grateful we got to stay there. We'll always hold the place close to our hearts.

Of all the hotels on our three-week trip around Germany, Gastehaus Richter was easily our favourite. We felt like family from the moment we arrived. Our room had a terrace in the lovely garden and a beautiful view of Zugspitz mountain. The hotel has been renovated to a very high standard. Grandpa's breakfast each morning was fabulous, and the afternoon coffee and cakes were a lovely surprise. We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place or come back.
