Christian was especially kind and professional, and you can tell he cares a lot about the place. It’s set in lovely, peaceful scenery, and the hotel itself feels warm and welcoming. Everything looked clean and carefully maintained, right down to the details. The breakfast made a fresh, delicious impression and looked like it had been prepared with care. Highly recommended.

Christian was always helpful and kind, and we felt welcome in this peaceful hotel. We stayed three nights and had a great time. Breakfast was a fresh, warm start before skiing each day, and we’d definitely like to stay here again. Grainau Train station is a 10-minute walk or 5 minutes by bus. From there, you can get to either the Zugspitze or Garmisch-Partenkirschen ski area. Thanks for the hospitality! :)

The place was so clean, comfortable and well looked after that we wished we could stay longer. Grainau is a lovely little town with beautiful scenery all around. From Christian’s place, it’s a five-minute drive to Hammersbach, where the one-hour hike up to Höllentalklamm begins.

We came for the natural sights, especially Eibsee, and for hiking, but this would be a lovely base for skiing too. I’ve saved the hotel for a future ski trip. Our room was warm, cozy and clean, with an astonishing view, and breakfast was very good. The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the early check-in time. Apart from that, it was perfect.

The view from the room was the best I’ve ever had, and the room, owner and location were all great. Breakfast was really nice, and I definitely want to come back. There were no toiletries, and it was quite noisy, but that view made everything better.
