The staff were lovely, but this stay has made me lose confidence in the NH brand. I asked for a double room and was given two single beds with two single duvets. The room and bathroom smelled damp, and the carpet in the lobby had an odor like it hadn't been replaced in decades. The heater wasn't on even though it was 4°C outside. From the outskirts location to the entrance and lobby, everything felt like a budget hotel. There was no room service or restaurant either. I don't understand how this hotel is part of the NH chain, especially after the nice stays I've had with NH before.

They charged both me and the travel agency for the stay, so the hotel scammed me out of 248 euros. I've been back to the hotel three times and spent around six hours trying to get my money back, but I still haven't received it.

The rooms were super clean and comfortable, and the staff were great. Highly recommend.

The room was pretty clean, and the receptionists were really nice and helpful. But my husband and I were asleep at 8 AM when the housekeeper knocked once and then opened our door all the way to look inside. We had the “Do not disturb” sign on it, and she shut the door as soon as she saw us. I don't feel that people's things are safe if the door can't be locked and someone can just enter at any time. That was unacceptable.

The location worked well for sightseeing, and Heidelberg was about a 20-minute drive away. It's such a pretty city. At NH Hirschberg, the staff made check-in quick and comfortable. The two staff members were caring and humble, and my room was modern, clean, and had a lovely view of nature. I had a great stay last week and hope NH Hirschberg keeps up this standard. Thank you for the service ☺️
