There’s a lot to like at Lyf east. The rooms look lovely, and the concept feels well thought out. I tried the all-vegan breakfast and really enjoyed it. In summer, it’s easy to walk along the Main into the city, with local shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby. There’s also a kitchen for cooking, plus a great bar where I had some delicious drinks. A fabulous base for a few days in Frankfurt.

I first stayed here while moving to Frankfurt and searching for an apartment, and it felt like home. I loved the rooftop kitchen and the other kitchen, as well as the chill-out room with its great lighting. The reception crew became friends, and the breakfast team made my stay special. Breakfast is vegan, and there’s also a fine dining vegan restaurant with a seasonal menu. I’d recommend the hotel for both short and longer stays.

We stayed one night while my parents were in Frankfurt for an event. The woman at the front was incredibly kind, and we all enjoyed the breakfast. I also liked the gym, which is quite large, with a section reserved for people over 16. We had a great time at the hotel.

The room looked modern and the location was good. It felt a little cramped because the sink and wardrobe took up space, but otherwise everything was good.

I like the location and the vegan concept, which makes the noise problem a shame. I’ve tried several rooms and none were quiet. There’s no carpet or anything to muffle sound, and the doors are impossible to close quietly, so a door shutting carries all along the hallway. I woke up several times each night. I wouldn’t choose it for business travel.
