The hotel was very clean and felt secure. I did have trouble getting in when I arrived at 20:45, since check-in closes at 20:00 and I couldn’t access the building. The Wi-Fi in my first room wasn’t working well. The owner kindly let me check the connection in another room, then changed my room so I could work and VPN into my job that night. I also shared some suggestions for reducing network congestion to help him in the future.

We eventually got a room more like the one we wanted, and it was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The first room we were given was wrong, though sorting it out was difficult because the receptionist didn’t speak English and I don’t speak German. The pillows were very flat and hard, and we only got one each. Other hotels usually provide two. There also weren’t any tea or coffee facilities. Fortunately, the morning receptionist spoke some English and was really friendly and helpful. She brought us a kettle and tea bags. The hotel is nice and quiet, close to the town center, apart from those issues. We’d definitely stay again.

Really well kept, clean, and comfortable. A lovely little hotel for a weekend stop in the surrounding wine region.
