Hotel Gasthof Rose

I only stayed one night, and it was good value for money. The parking was decent and the hotel is right by the town center. I didn’t try breakfast. A local friend told me the restaurant is good too.

It’s less than a 10-minute drive to Legoland, so the location is very good if you’re going there. The rooms are tidy, though the decor is a bit dated. Dogs are allowed. The restaurant food was okay and quite tasty.

The train station is about 10 minutes away, and you can catch a bus there to Legoland. We only stayed one night, and it got unexpectedly freezing, down to -1 °C in the morning. The main heating wasn't on yet, though they brought a portable electric heater for each room. That was thoughtful, but two would have been better in our double room. We arrived at 8:00 in the morning, well before the 16:00 check-in time, and they let us leave our bags. Dinner was amazing. We had a wonderful tomato soup, so try it if they're serving it. Breakfast was also really good, tasty and plentiful. The staff were lovely and helpful, and it was a great place overall. The heating was the only issue, though we hadn't expected snow.

We stayed here in April 2016 and found it very comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was delicious. It also works well for families with children.
