Stargaze Home Hotel

I stayed for 3 nights, and for a 3-star price it was a good stay overall. The staff were kind and helpful when they were at the hotel, but most of the time there was nobody there. IMPORTANT Information: Make sure you get the code for every room. You can’t get into the room or building without it. If you have a low sports car, take it slowly uphill into the garage so the underside doesn’t scrape on the bump. Other cars are fine, but parking spaces in the garage are limited.

Good value for money on the practical things: cleanliness, comfort, parking, and 24-hour access. The decor is a little dated. Breakfast is a nice extra, though service is minimal.

We stayed just one night and enjoyed it. Breakfast was really nice and well organized.

We booked two rooms through Hotels.com, but only got the pin code for one. The hotel has no staff on site, so codes are supposed to be sent to you. We called the number in the email, but they had nothing to do with Stargaze hotel. After finding the right number online, we still didn’t get a code. We called again and finally got it verbally. We arrived around 23 o'clock on a cloudy 20 degrees day, and somehow the top-floor rooms were around 25 degrees. In one room, turning on the bedside lamp literally made the bulb explode and cut power to the whole room, bathroom included. We tried the “24 hour open” reception number but couldn’t reach anyone. My sister had to shower with the bathroom door open in the morning, and we couldn’t charge our phones or anything. Afterward, they offered a 20% discount, which honestly is a joke. We asked for a full refund for the room that didn’t work, and got complete silence. Don’t stay here if you want a good night’s sleep, want to avoid getting electrocuted, or just want staff available when something is likely to go wrong.
