It was very clean and peaceful, with plenty of free parking. This little family-run place is charming and affordable, about 25 minutes from Dortmund. I did miss bacon and sausages at breakfast, though. A few more protein choices would have helped, or the breakfast could have cost less.

The place has a slightly old-fashioned feel, which I actually found charming. My room was clean, the food was good, and it was quiet. I stayed just one night and was met by a welcoming family who were kind and patient even though I don't speak German.

We had a delicious meal at the restaurant and found the room clean and warm. The owners were lovely, and when we're back in Hagen we'll choose Rehrer Hof again.

The rooms and towels were changed daily, and there was plenty of hot water. It was quiet despite being close to the motorway, and breakfast was an excellent choice. We found nothing to fault, with excellent service from the hosts.
