This place is immaculate, with beds more comfortable than ours at home, a great view, and no light pollution. It feels incredibly up to date and built for the future, including a focus on self-sufficiency. It's a little off the beaten track, but we wanted the peace and quiet. The owners are the loveliest and funniest people, and have put a lot into making the place sustainable after starting out in a barn. Everything you need for a great summer or winter holiday is here. The area is a paradise for cyclists and walkers. Well done to the owners.

It's a lovely, peaceful hotel, especially in winter when there's plenty of snow. Grandma cooks the food herself, and the hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it for a relaxing stay and some peace and quiet.

The food had that comforting, homemade taste, like Grandma’s cooking but even better. We also found the rooms and beds really comfortable, and the service was attentive. Set in a quiet, beautiful spot in the Bavarian Forest, it’s a lovely place to slow down and relax. The warm hospitality makes the five stars well deserved.

Karl Berger is a wonderfully entertaining storyteller, and it’s always a pleasure to listen to him. The food he prepares is fantastic, and special dietary requests or even breakfast at 6:00 a.m. are no trouble. Karl and Helga Berger run the hotel with real affection and passion, and their welcoming manner wins you over right away. The rooms are spacious, with thoughtfully arranged shelves, storage, and hanging space. The furnishings are a little dated, but everything is kept in excellent condition. From the owners to the service and rooms, it’s an amazing hotel. We’ll certainly return. Many thanks!
