Premier Inn München Airport Süd

I only stayed one night, but the quiet, comfortable room made a strong impression. The bathroom and sitting areas were roomy and spotless, and I could leave my rental car in secure indoor parking. A great choice for traveling solo, highly recommend it.

The room was immaculate, and the staff were genuinely kind and helpful. It had the dependable feel I expect from Premier Inn. Airport access was the problem. Getting to Terminal 1 takes 40-50 minutes by taxi, rather than a quick shuttle, and I only discovered this detail in the fine print. After a long flight, that was an expensive and stressful surprise. Taxis also aren't readily waiting at the hotel, so you need to book ahead. For an early departure, that extra planning and long drive made me worry about missing my flight. I'd choose this only for Terminal 2 or a late-morning flight. If leaving early from Terminal 1, I'd stay directly at the airport. The hassle and risk outweighed the otherwise good stay.

I've never had worse service from a hotel's reception. I first booked the wrong date by mistake, April 14 instead of April 16. I contacted the hotel that same day to ask for a change and heard nothing back. Later, they wouldn't refund me. I then made a booking for April 16 with breakfast, but had to leave before 6:30 a.m. and couldn't eat it. They wouldn't provide a takeaway breakfast or refund the cost. I even offered to swap it for parking, which was €16 compared with €18 for breakfast, but they refused that too. I visit Munich often. This was my first stay here, and it will definitely be my last. Avoid it, I can't recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was good, and the underground garage is a real plus. It's very large, with a direct elevator to the hotel room floors. There wasn't a fridge in our room, though. We arrived late by plane, then the whole hotel had to be evacuated at 3 a.m. because of a false fire alarm. The rooms feel a bit old-fashioned, but they're perfectly fine for sleeping.
