eXo Hotel Franka Bamberg

The rooms were okay, and breakfast starts at 6:30. Large tourist buses can get there easily and drop guests off, but there’s no parking at the hotel. The nearest parking is by the Lidl shop along the road.

The bar downstairs was great and stayed open late. We didn’t try breakfast. The hotel is a fair way from the city center, but otherwise it was fine, with clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Nothing fancy, but it had what we needed.

The location was peaceful, and the hotel was very nice. Breakfast tasted great, but if you come down late, the buffet can be empty and you have to ask staff to refill it. They also charge €3.50 for a bottle of water, marked on it in pen. It would be nice if one bottle were included for free.

There isn’t much to do or eat within walking distance, and the hotel is away from the city center. It was near the office I was visiting, though, which suited my business trip. The rooms were a good size and clean, and breakfast in the restaurant was good. Underground parking is available on site for €6 a day. There’s a restaurant and bar, but no fitness center or much else.
