a&o Hamburg Reeperbahn - Hostel

The breakfast spread was fresh and came out quickly, just what we needed. Everyone on the team was great, especially Dev in the kitchen, who went out of his way to help us and was incredibly friendly. It was a super fun stay right on the Reeperbahn.

If you want to be near the nightlife, the location is good, and the price is cheap compared with the rest of Hamburg. The staff were friendly and the facilities decent. Our room was clean, though the pillows and bed weren’t very comfortable. That wouldn’t stop me from coming back.

A big thank you to the reception team, especially Saina and Sina, for being so welcoming. I really appreciated being given a quiet room and having my checkout extended by 1.5 hours. It was handled kindly and without hassle, and made my stay much more comfortable.

I paid around 150€ for a private room and got only six hours of sleep across two nights. It was an expensive place with no value for money, few facilities, and poor cleanliness. I felt they were cutting corners while just making money. On the first night, someone got into the gallery where my room was, knocked on doors, and ran off several times. There’s no security. The second night, the fire alarm went off for no reason, with no fire, and reception blamed the system. They know the rooms aren’t safe, yet still don’t install hallway cameras. This place made me frustrated instead of relaxed on vacation. I’m never coming back.
