ARCOTEL Rubin Hamburg

We spent three nights here at Christmas, and the restaurant made mornings feel festive and full of Christmas spirit. The suite was huge, more like a home, with a meeting area, two toilets, and lovely changing views from the sixth floor. Everything was tidy and clean, and the staff were wonderful. The sauna and gym were very good too. After the sauna on the seventh floor, we could relax on the terrace with tea, which felt great. My daughters and I had a lovely, warm, and pleasant stay. Many thanks to everyone!

The hotel is pet friendly and just a short walk from the subway. We had a nice room, parking options were good, and breakfast was very good. A pleasant place to stay.

There are several Mediterranean restaurants nearby, some open until midnight, and the station is about a 10-minute walk away. Our room was clean, tidy, and had a nice city view. The big issue was the air conditioning. It still didn’t work after I complained a couple of times. Staff eventually said the temperature couldn’t be set below 24°C, which I found hard to believe. Even at that temperature, the room felt hot during the last week of August. This was my second stay, a year after the first, and the same issue was still there. If you need air conditioning, especially in summer, this hotel may not suit you.

The breakfast had both continental and cooked choices, which felt fair for what I paid. We were there in hot weather, so having air conditioning that actually worked was useful. The rooms were roomy and very comfortable, and the station is about a 10-minute walk away. I’d definitely stay here again.
