We decided not to check in after seeing the area around the hotel. Across the street, in the parking area, we saw activity that seemed suspicious and unsafe, and people appeared to be openly dealing illegal substances while we walked nearby. The surroundings felt dangerous and uncomfortable, especially at night, and not suitable for families. The parking lot is behind the building, but what we saw on the street put us off. The hotel still refused to refund our money. I strongly advise people to research the Reeperbahn area before booking and to stay away. It wasn’t worth the risk to us.

The rooms were clean, though the view wasn't great. The people were friendly, and it's close to reeperbahn and U-bahn S3. Reservation P recommended. Have fun!

The room was small and basic, but it had what we needed and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was solid with enough choice, and there was some noise from other guests, though it didn't spoil the stay. The staff were brilliant and really friendly. A great budget hotel just off the notorious Reeperbahn. I'd recommend it.

The hotel is only a few kilometers from the center, and I could bring my bicycle into my room without any problem. I stayed alone in a single room for four days in July 2023 while taking part in the Triathlon World Championship. The staff at reception and in the breakfast room were very friendly, and they were happy to help with a few small nutrition requests for a triathlete. I felt really looked after. I didn't notice anything about the red light district. They also have a closed parking area, so I'd suggest reserving a space when booking. I'm very grateful to everyone at Auto-Parkhotel Hamburg for taking such good care of me.

It's a straightforward, friendly place to stay in Hamburg, and the breakfast was surprisingly good. The location also works well for the area's attractions.
