The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the price for what you get is good. Rooms are functional, though the hotel and its furnishings look tired. You can see some renovation and refurbishment has been done, but it still feels worn. The elevator is there, but it's old and takes ages to reach your floor. Breakfast is limited, and after two or three mornings you might be ready for something else. The hotel is three to five minutes on foot from the main train station, with lots of restaurants nearby. One thing to know: on the walk from the station, you pass a convenience store that draws many homeless and drunk people, so walking back alone at night could feel unsafe.

The service was the highlight, with some really nice people working there. I was traveling with my mom, and she thought the hotel felt charming and cozy. I found it a bit dated and ready for an update. If you're older, you may love it, but younger guests might not care for the rooms.

Just a five-minute walk from Central Station, this is a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a huge room with beautiful European doona’s, and the bathroom was clean and spacious.

The decor is a little dated, but in a stylish retro way, and the bar and dining spaces are lovely for sitting down with an evening drink and a chat. We really loved our stay. The staff were friendly, especially the woman at breakfast, and our clean, spacious room was quiet. The breakfast buffet was great, and we appreciated the welcome drink voucher. I'll definitely come back on a future trip to Hamburg.
