Hotel Commodore

The staff were so welcoming. The guy working last night and the team this morning were both really, really friendly, and they made our visit a great experience. Such warm hospitality! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The breakfast was great, and the room was clean with comfortable beds, clean sheets, and towels. It’s a good sized room for a city hotel, and there are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, with grocery stores about a 5-10 minute walk away. That central location makes it good value for the money. There are a few drawbacks: hotel parking is limited, and if it’s full, street parking nearby is costly. There’s no air conditioning, just a noisy little fan, and the room had no safe or mini fridge. The TV was small, and checkout was at 10:30. I stayed for two nights.

It’s an easy walk to the lively St. Pauli street area. Breakfast was limited, though good enough. The hotel is fine for a short visit of a day or two, but it’s not somewhere I’d choose for a luxury stay. I’d prefer the nearby ibis.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and it has worked out perfectly both times. On this visit, my girlfriend and I spent one night and were told at check-in that we’d been upgraded to the lovely room shown in the picture. Breakfast was great for €10.50 per person, and all the staff were kind and friendly. I’d definitely recommend it.
