B&B Hotel Hamburg-Airport

Breakfast was mostly not fresh, and drinks and juices weren't replenished often. The staff were rude to most customers, impolite, slow, unprofessional, and not welcoming. I had to ask reception and the cleaning staff three times for clean towels. Rooms aren't cleaned every day, and you have to book the cleaning service the day before, but nobody tells guests that. I'm a member of the B&B hotels program and this was my second stay here, yet I wasn't given the member breakfast offer. They charged me anyway and didn't even offer a cup of coffee. Reception first asked for my membership number, then said they could only consider it through the app. I won't come back, and I'll probably leave the B&B program because it seems useless. I wonder why B&B hotels risk the brand by accepting this kind of staff behavior. Next time I'll consider the two other hotels right beside this one.

It's perfectly located near Hamburg airport, and we know this hotel because my husband usually stays at its one in Italy. This time, our room smelled bad, like garlic or something similar. It wasn't from the corridor or outside, so maybe something was wrong with the air connection. Reception changed the room for us. There was no hot water, making a shower impossible and very unpleasant. We hope to find somewhere better next time.

For an early flight or a long transit, this budget hotel is a useful place to spend the night. Reception was friendly, spoke fluent English, and check-in was quick and easy. There's no checkout process, you just leave, which saved us time with a flight to catch, especially with the airport so crowded. The room wasn't huge, but there was enough space to walk around and open luggage, plus the essentials, a small table, and air conditioning. With luggage, expect a 15-20 minute walk to the airport. The route can be quite dark at night.

Check-in with the first lady was good, but Mellon was so rude after she replaced her that I'll never stay here again. I'll tell anyone going to Germany to avoid this hotel because of the staff. In reply, you only served one drink, and you never said the bar didn't open until 6pm. If you'd told us, we would have gone somewhere else. You came at me and said you wouldn't serve me even though nobody needed to check in. I said you were rude because that's what I experienced, and yes, I'll tell people not to stay there. Your reply just confirms how you behaved during my stay. Management can watch the video and see I stood there for over 20 minutes before she told me the bar wasn't open.
