The location and price are good, but I can’t recommend this apartment. We were first assigned room 316, a non-smoking room that smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We changed rooms, but room 420 hadn’t been cleaned well either. There was dust on the bathroom heater where the fresh towels were, on the window seals, and on the floor, and the fridge hadn’t been wiped. The worst issue was housekeeping. The room wasn’t cleaned when scheduled, and the door was left OPEN. That is completely UNACCEPTABLE and raises SERIOUS CONCERN about SAFTY and PRIVACY. Very disappointing!! The video was taken just before we were about to enter the room. 🤬

The room was great and check-in was easy. The S-Bahn station is only 30 m away, which makes the location very convenient. Try not to arrive too late at night, though, as there are some slightly sketchy people on the path from the bahnhof to the hotel.

The location is perfect, the staff are friendly, and the room and everything else were fine. The bathroom was the exception. It smelled so strange that I didn’t even want to shower in it, and that makes me unsure about coming back despite the other positives. There’s self-check-out, plus Nintendo Switch and boardgames in Sky Lounge. Also, this was one of the coolest elevators I’ve ever experienced.

The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. Check-in and check-out can be done on the ground floor, while the reception is on the fourth. The hotel is right in front of Hamburg-Harburg train station. I don’t think it has its own dedicated parking, but we managed to park in front of the station. Our room was clean, though some power outlets were awkward to reach. At the back there’s a very big, old factory, which didn’t bother me since there’s not much the hotel can do about it. The paternoster lift is a special touch and actually suits the factory next door. I’d change the main entrance system. Apparently, after 10pm you need a code to get in. Why not open the door with the room card instead of making guests remember a code? After a long day, your phone may be running low on battery, and that’s where the code is kept. Otherwise, you’d need to write it down somewhere.
