Hotel Grüne Tanne

I only stayed one night. At first, the price seemed a bit high for the room size and what was in it, but once I got into bed, I understood. The mattress, quilt, and pillows were all such good quality, like what I've only had in 5-star hotels, and I slept like a baby. The rest of the room and bathroom fittings also felt carefully picked and well made. It's a cozy hotel.

I went in expecting little because the price was low, but the place surprised me in a good way. Check-in staff were very nice, and my room was clean and spacious. Parking is free, and everything worked out well. A good cheap stop if you're just driving through.

Being outside Hamburg makes arriving easy at any time of day, which is great if you're on the go and need somewhere reasonably close to the city. They also have service around the clock, so you can check in at any hour. Very convenient.

Handy for one night while travelling through Germany. The room is small but the bed is good, and breakfast is basic and starts at 06:00. There's parking behind the hotel. Keep in mind there's no elevator to the first or second floor.
