Fraser Suites Hamburg

The location was just right, near the Town hall and with some great restaurants and bars close by. We didn’t eat or drink at the hotel because we wanted to explore the city, though the areas we saw all looked lovely. The staff we met were professional and friendly. The rooms were amazing, spacious and beautifully decorated. It may be the nicest hotel room I’ve stayed in on a city break. Fantastic hotel.

The building has a great provision for a hotel, and the rooms are spacious and very quiet. The hotel itself is great, and the location is good too. But the service and breakfast were truly not great. The property seemed understaffed every time we were there. Check-in was a complete mess. All three rooms were listed under different names, with addresses mixed up, and they blamed booking. That didn’t make sense to me. How did they get all three of our details in the first place? At check-out, the woman tried to lecture me when I mentioned the check-in problem, and I just told her to stop. Don’t school me, lady. For a boutique hotel with 10-20 guests, that buffet might have been enough, but not for the number of people they were trying to serve. Have they seen the breakfast buffets at other hotels in their category? They need to scale up. We all called it ridiculous. There was no variety or volume, and at all times there was just nothing there. I hope they change this, because the rooms and location are great, but the service sucks.

The location is fantastic, and the reception team and other staff are all very helpful and nice. My room was clean and just the right size. There’s a laundry room in the basement, and some suites have a washing machine. Mine was the premier suite.

Fraser Suites is in a historic building by the river, and it left a really strong impression on me. The rooms are beautiful and have a small kitchenette. It’s central, close to public transport, and many places are within walking distance. It has charm by day and at night. My first recommendation would be this hotel, you’ll be very satisfied with your stay!
