Hotel Hanseport Hamburg

The rooms are simple but clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and pretty good. A great little hotel. As the manager put it, turn left when you leave for riverside bars and culture, or right for the girls and the party. It seems to suit everyone, from families and business travelers to middle-aged guys on a weekend bender!

The location is great and the staff were friendly, but this was easily my worst hotel experience. Our room faced a small street with several bars, and the music blasted until 7 AM, all night long. Even with the windows shut, earplugs in, and noise-cancelling headphones on, it was impossible to block out. A sleepless night wasn’t worth what we paid.

It’s easy to get to, and there’s a secure parking area under the hotel. Larger cars won’t fit, but my Volvo V60 was fine. The hotel is near Reeperbahn and the harbour, and it’s a little over half an hour on foot to the city center, with a nice park along the way if you want. We only stayed one night but still got to see a lot of the city. I’d stay here again and definitely recommend it.

The breakfast is excellent, and the staff are very kind. It’s also very well located, with everything within walking distance. I’ve travelled abroad for a long time, and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. It offers great value for the price. I don’t give full marks easily, but this place gets them from me. If I return to Hamburg, I’ll stay here again and recommend it to others. Thank you for everything.
