Hotel Cockpit

This is okay for a night, but I wouldn’t stay here for a business trip to Hamburg. Kids were running in the corridor in the early hours, and evenings were noisy, so you can’t feel refreshed for work the next day. There’s no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs to your room. The breakfast isn’t good for 10 EURO.

The windows do a good job of keeping traffic noise out, and breakfast was good. Rooms are a good size, with comfortable chairs and a table. It’s cheaper than slot of Hotels in Hamburg.

The reception area with the plane seats is fun, and the kids loved it. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful, and the car park is convenient and free. It’s a short drive from the airport and close to petrol stations. The rooms are basic and a little dated, but comfortable and had everything we needed. There are steps up to reception and the rooms, with no lift.

We booked a room for three, but it wasn’t properly set up for three people: there were only two chairs and two glasses on the table. The bathroom had no shampoo or shower gel, and there was no refrigerator. The breakfast was ordinary. The location near the airport was good.
