THE MADISON Hotel Hamburg

This has become my absolute favorite after a couple of stays. It has all the comfort and quality I could want, and feels better than the chain hotels in the city. There's a real family feel here. Many of the staff have been around a long time, including the kind ladies at breakfast, the morning reception team, and the upkeep staff. They seem to get along well with the owner, who is often there. It feels like they enjoy their work. Please be kind so I can come back and see these lovely people.

The Madison made traveling with my dog easy. The room came with dog treats, bowls, and a huge cushion for my tail-wagging friend. When I arrived, the receptionist greeted me warmly and even came around the counter to say hello to my dog, who appreciated it. Across the many 4-star and up hotels I've stayed in over the years, this was easily the best service in Hamburg. The hotel is elegantly furnished and well lit. The room was large and clean, with an equally elegant bathroom. The windows opened, and the large, firm bed made for a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good, with the same quiet and efficient service. There was outdoor seating beside the street, so I could bring my dog without disturbing anyone inside. I warmly recommend The Madison to anyone traveling with a dog or looking for a classy hotel with warm, excellent service.

I felt at home here. The hotel is clean, modern, and has thoughtful details that added value beyond anything I've come across at other hotels. Moving to the ground-floor spa felt pleasant, with everything clean and nicely decorated. In the room I found a lit magnifying mirror, an Alexa, a music amplifier and speakers, a handy small kitchenette, a useful water tap in the shower, and curtains that blocked out the morning light really well. The location is very central. Breakfast had lots of variety, including cheeses, cold cuts, juices, breads, and more. The coffee was excellent and tasty, and kept me going all day. Keep it up just as it is.

I booked an Executive room. It was clean and well equipped, with Wi-Fi and the minibar included. Guests can use the gym and spa for free from 6 a.m. to noon, and it was really nice to relax there. Breakfast was great, if a little expensive. I'd recommend this hotel.
