YoHo - the young hotel

The room was on the small side, but nicely decorated. We asked for a kettle and they kindly brought one. Parking was great, and the location was handy. We walked to lots of places, with plenty of restaurants nearby.

My room looked out onto the backyard, and I could hear birds softly singing in the morning. The calm feeling carried through the room, with its dark grey tones and solid wood furniture, which was really comfortable. The hotel and room were even nicer than the photos. It seems to have been rebuilt and redesigned as a hotel while retaining as much of the old interior as possible. The furnishings and products felt high quality, and it was clear the designer had thought things through. They'd even added a mechanism to automate the old window frames while keeping them in place. I requested a kettle for the room, and they remembered it. Please keep up these standards.

We were in town for a local event and spent a week at YoHo in August. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were pleasant, and the location suited us well.

We liked being near the city without being caught up in the bustle. The train and bus made it easy to get around Hamburg's neighbourhoods, and we could walk along the canal to Eppendorf or head to dinner in Schlump. The hotel staff gave us a lovely welcome, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. A good choice for a busy traveler on a short visit. We wanted somewhere simple, clean and comfortable, and this worked well.
