The Wi-Fi was my one real issue. I’m here for business, and it was so bad I couldn’t get basic work done on my laptop. I’ll be telling the company that booked the room about it. The beds and food were nice, and the place is close to the trains. After I posted this, the hostel owner asked me about the problem and offered some solutions. She seemed to care that I was unhappy, and the Wi-Fi now works properly in my room, so I’m happy with how things stand. I would have preferred to discuss it privately instead of in front of other guests, but that’s a small point now. This is still a nice, affordable place in a central location for a visit to hamburg.

We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back. Everything was very clean, and the rooms are nicely furnished; the bathroom is small but pleasant. Lots of thoughtful little touches made the stay easier, including useful information about transport and restaurants. It’s clear someone has put real thought into what guests might need. The location is great, with the subway to the city center right outside, and the hostess was so kind and helpful. Thank you so much, Ms. Sonntag!

My mother and I had a lovely, comfortable, and clean room at Pension Sonntag, and we really enjoyed our stay at the beginning of December. Breakfast was prepared with such care, and the guesthouse is conveniently placed, just a five-minute walk from a subway station for an easy trip to Hamburg’s beautiful city center. Mrs. Sonntag clearly puts a lot of effort and love into her work and the accommodation. We felt very much at home and would definitely stay again. Best wishes from Dortmund.

Breakfast with the other guests made for lively conversations and shared experiences. The atmosphere was relaxed and lovely, and we felt right at home. The villa charmed us as soon as we arrived. It’s in a very quiet spot, yet close to the city center. We had a wonderful time in Hamburg, partly thanks to Pension Sonntag, and would love to return.
