relexa hotel Bellevue

The staff were just okay, and you have to ask for cleaning before 10 am or your room won't be cleaned. The room itself was okay too, and the price seemed reasonable, though they added tourist taxes of around 20 percent. The location, on the other hand, was perfect. I could walk to everywhere I wanted to go, and there was a river nearby with lovely nature to enjoy on a walk.

The staff were very friendly, so no complaints about them. The location was okay, though farther from the city centre than I expected. That's on me for not realizing how big Hamburg is. The room was dated and marked up with scuffs along the walls, and it smelled strangely cheesy as soon as we walked in. The bathroom was disgusting, with black mould on the shower and about an inch of dust along the tops of the tiles. We even met locals at a gig who said they'd heard the outside looks better than the rooms. The rooms could use a renovation.

Still no lake view so far! It's pretty lame that a hotel like this hasn't invested in decent WiFi for the rooms. The second building is also a big dead spot for mobile providers. And, ironically, their free Telekom service barely connects either. How much would proper WiFi really cost? ;)

I liked the hotel. The view from the top floor is nice, the bathroom is new and pleasant, and the staff are kind. Breakfast is available for 20€. There's parking out back and a spot where you can smoke or sit outside.
