Segelschiff Loth Lorien

We made it back to the Port of Hamburg safely and right on time. The crew were very friendly, though I didn't see the point of the music and dance performances, even if the other passengers applauded. The wind was too light to raise every sail, but the trip was still unforgettable. I booked the 120-minute sail on Loth Loriën, a 48-meter, three-masted ship flying the Dutch flag, on May 10, 1926.

Two hours went by in no time. The captain and crew were wonderful, and they got us involved in raising and lowering the sails, especially the children. A fantastic traditional sailing ship and a truly amazing experience. Many thanks to Hermann and his crew!

It's so nice that you're back. We can't wait to spend evenings aboard the ship again. Last year we joined you for three trips and had an absolutely wonderful time. Mr. Liverpool even helped me climb up, and the view was fantastic! Such a lovely family, and I'd highly recommend it. So much fun 🥰🙋‍♀️

The ticket was €37.50 per adult, which I think was fair, and drinks were reasonably priced. We took the two-hour tour from the pier in Grömitz on the Baltic Sea today. The ship was lovely and the crew attentive and very friendly. If you're fit enough, the optional mast climb for €10 makes it a fantastic experience. Just be honest with yourself about seasickness first: a sailboat feels very different from a motor vessel, and you need your sea legs to enjoy it. Anything that didn't go well came down to my own experience, not the tour, ship, or crew. If you get the chance and are in good shape, don't miss it.
