The friendly staff and convenient location near Altona station are a big part of why I’ve enjoyed staying here. Once, I left my ebook reader in the room, and the cleaning lady saved it so a friend could collect it for me. I’ve lost less valuable things at more expensive hotels and never seen them again. It feels like being a guest at your favorite rundown pub, only it’s a hotel. The price and quality are decent. You won’t get Hilton-style rooms, but you won’t pay that kind of price either. Some rooms have basic new furniture; others seem frozen 30 or 40 years in the past, when they must have been grand rooms and the hotel was at its peak. If that doesn’t bother you, I’d recommend it.

I really liked my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. It’s a budget hotel without frills or luxuries, but there’s a spacious hall, large comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The outside first gave me the impression of a hotel from hell, and I thought there was no way I’d sleep there. Inside, it was completely different. It’s near the (in)famous Reeperbahn, yet far enough away to be in a very quiet part of the neighborhood. I didn’t try the breakfast myself, but was told it was more than OK.

The hotel is close to Reeperbahn and Altona, and it’s a seven-minute walk to the nearest metro station. I gave it two stars because the staff were friendly and breakfast was good value for the price. That’s about all I can praise. Our bathroom was awful, with humidity, mould on the walls, and silverfish. The hotel urgently needs renovation. You can see it in the pictures. If this was useful, please give me a like. Thanks.

The people were very polite and friendly, and the location was nice. But the building is falling apart, and the furniture and mattresses are old and worn out. My room was dirty and the breakfast was poor. Worse, the walls in my room were covered in c*m, and there was blood on the mattress.

The only decent part was breakfast. Otherwise it felt like a hostel at best, not a hotel. The place was run down and smelled like cigarettes. Some rooms had mold, and in others the electrical outlets were coming out of the walls. In my bathroom, bare wires hung from the ceiling. The whole neighborhood looked dangerous.
