We’d happily come back. The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating, and breakfast was a real highlight with a superb buffet. The apartments are excellent and well placed for walks in nature or bike rides. Highly recommended.

The house is pretty basic, and the rooms are clean and furnished for practical use. It sits on a side street in a village up on a hill, so you can’t see the Werra.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The furnishings and other amenities, though, seem not to have changed in at least 10 years. And the shower’s anti-slip mat has a “broken glass” pattern. Who thought that was a good buy?

At a very low price, you get functional rooms with reasonable furnishings.
