YORS Boutique Hotel

The rooms are loud, there’s no air conditioning, and the shower gel left me with red, itchy spots. Don’t stay here.

The staff are what made YORS so special for us. They were welcoming and kind, and helped us feel at ease even though the neighborhood seemed a bit rough at first. We stayed at the beginning of April, and the three of us, me, my partner, and our friend, loved our time there. Lovely rooms, great coffee, and a lovely breakfast too. We’d recommend this little hotel to anyone visiting hanover, and we’ll definitely be back. We need more people like that staff! 😁

I stayed just one or two nights. The receptionist called the police after I knocked on my room door, and what the officers told me left me stunned. Looking at one officer’s innocent expression, I even believed for a moment that I was a danger to people or society. I couldn’t leave a review without giving a star, unfortunately. Behave appropriately, and don’t harass or put innocent people in danger.

I asked in my booking for two extra pillows, two bath towels, and a fan to be in the room at check-in, but none of them were there. I got a fan from the front desk. The bed itself was adequate, though having only one pillow made it very uncomfortable. There was street noise and noise from other guests, and no air conditioning. The bath gels left red, itchy blotches on my skin. The staff were accommodating, but that was the only positive I can give. I’d requested a 15:00 late checkout, first quoted at €79.00, then negotiated down to €50.00. After that first night, I wasn’t staying another night, so it became a moot point. I also haven’t seen a credit for the charge yet. Maybe Yors was having an off weekend because of the football game, but I didn’t enjoy my stay and left after night one.
