Vermietung Flaßkamp

We'd stayed here once before as a couple. On this visit, the room and kitchen were spotless, and whenever we called for help, the staff responded straight away and were very helpful. We did run out of toilet paper and couldn't figure out where to find more. We didn't want to bother anyone on a Sunday, so it might help to keep a few spare rolls in the storage rooms for guests. The glasses in the room are a nice touch, though I'm not sure what they're for when there's no water. If we bring our own drinks, we can get glasses from the cupboard anyway. Apart from those things, I have no complaints. It's definitely worth recommending, and we'd happily stay again.

The service was friendly, and they accepted card payments. For €44, the single room was very fairly priced. I did find the pricing confusing, though: the hotel's website and Bett & Bike showed different prices, with Bett & Bike sometimes listing lower rates that included breakfast, even though breakfast isn't currently offered. The hotel is clean and centrally located, with a large, roomy space. I was glad to have a refrigerator in the room. In the mornings, the bike shed was left unlocked and open to everyone, which I wasn't happy about.

The Flaßkamp couple were really friendly and helpful, and parking behind the building was good. There's also bike storage, plus a shared kitchen with everything needed. The apartments are modern and functional, though a little spartan, and a wardrobe in the room would be handy. The location is very central, opposite the town hall and about 700m from Claas. Wi-Fi is included, but the speed is absolutely terrible, especially in the evenings, so I'm giving it four stars ;-). Good value for money.

The price didn't feel justified, and the experience was very inconsistent. The rooms smelled strongly of sewage. The communal kitchen is right beside the entrance, completely dark, and has no window. Such a shame.
