Der Tanzhase

There’s very little in the rooms, and for that price I’d rather find somewhere in Hamburg. The place is also well out in the countryside, with nothing nearby. We were woken before 8 in the morning when cleaning staff opened the door and walked into our room. Luckily, we woke up, but I hate to think they might have looked through our things if we hadn’t. When we left, nobody was at reception to take the key, so we gave it to the cleaners instead. I definitely won’t be coming back, and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We were running super late because of the weather, but they worked it out so we could still check in, which really saved us. The service was great. The rooms were clean and tidy, and good for the price. It’s also close to the autobahn. Great place!

The walls were so thin we could hear everything, and the shower only had cold water. There wasn’t a note with the WiFi password either. We arrived at 10pm and found small boxes on the wall that seemed to hold the room cards, but we hadn’t been given a code beforehand. We had to call a number and wait briefly for the host to come unlock the box. She arrived a few minutes later, gave us the card key, and showed us how to find the room, so that part was fine. The room itself was nicely cleaned, and we got help with the key right away. It had what you’d need in a hotel room, though this place seems better suited to a short stay.

We arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so for a simple place to sleep, this was cheap and alright. The rooms were clean, though a bit run down, and the walls were thin enough that we could hear the neighbors. The shower only had cold water. Check-in was a little complicated because the hotel was closed. Overall, the hotel was okay.
