Holiday Homes Lauterdorfle, Hayingen

The new beer garden is a nice addition and fits the small village well. We stayed in House 90 as a group of four, with plenty of room and a peaceful setting. There was lots to do too, including table tennis, table football, and a tennis court. One drawback was the caterpillar netting hanging all over the trees, which made the outdoor area unusable. Still, it was a relaxing short getaway.

The accommodation was spacious and had everything we needed. I was skeptical at first, but ended up being very pleasantly surprised. There are hiking and cycling trails all around, so it’s a great place for a holiday. A warning for walkers and dog owners: on the remote farm between Lauterdörfle and Hayingen, a large Bernese Mountain Dog roams freely and may approach people.

We feel so at home at Lauterdörfle that we come back every year. The scenery is beautiful, and the holiday homes are lovely too. There’s also an open-air theatre nearby that we highly recommend. We’re absolutely thrilled with the place and can wholeheartedly recommend it.

The cabins give you plenty of privacy, and it’s wonderfully peaceful out in nature. We loved the hiking trails and other activities nearby. Our cabin was a perfect fit once we cleaned it ourselves, though it hadn’t been very clean when we arrived. There was hair and dead insects lying around. We were also disappointed by how unfriendly the staff were when we asked questions or made suggestions. It would help if the website described the kitchen equipment. We asked about it but never got a reply.
