The rooms are bright and modern after renovation. We’ve stayed twice, and I’d suggest choosing a room at the back, since the front can be noisy unless you sleep with the windows closed. The location is perfect for exploring Heidelberg old town and the castle.

The location is the big draw, with shops and restaurants less than a three-minute walk away. Parking garages are nearby if you’re driving. The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable, and the front desk staff are helpful.

Just a couple hundred meters from the Marktplatz, the hotel sits on a little street without much tourist traffic, so the location is unbeatable. Rooms are simple and clean. Breakfast was good too, with juice, coffee, tea, several kinds of bread, and assorted cold cuts.

We were right in the town center, just two minutes from Fischmarkt. The elegant rooms, excellent staff, and hearty breakfast left us refreshed and ready for the day.
