Hengnau 46, Ferienwohnung Stiefel

The Stiefel family were such pleasant, helpful hosts. We spent ten days in the ground-floor apartment at the end of July and felt right at home. It’s modern, cozy, and furnished very comfortably. We also had a great time taking our e-bikes around the lake and through the surrounding countryside. Five stars from us! :)

The covered parking beside the apartments meant we could get in and out of the car without getting wet. The town is about 2.5 kilometers away, just a few minutes by car, and there are shops nearby. Friedrichshafen and Lindau are easy to reach too. We stayed in the wheelchair-accessible apartment, which has elevator access. It was modern, very clean, and had everything we needed. There’s a shower stool, and a shower chair can be provided if needed. By the toilet there are grab bars, one fixed and one fold-up. A backrest on the toilet would help someone with limited upper-body mobility. If you need anything else, just ask the extremely friendly landlords or their son, who lives right next door. We had a very nice stay, highly recommend the apartment, and thank the landlords.

The owners were friendly and very accommodating, even when our evening arrival time changed several times. Many thanks again! The apartment was modern, well cared for, and spotlessly clean, with a wonderful panoramic view. We’d love to return.

We’ve seldom found this much cleanliness, hospitality, and comfort together in a vacation rental. Five stars hardly seem like enough, it could’ve been ten. Highly recommended!
