We stayed one night and found the place comfortable and pleasant, with a good breakfast and a good location. I like the environmental approach too, with solar electricity and recycling. The only snag was arriving late: there was nobody to check us in, so we had to sneak in to get to our beds. A great idea for affordable accommodation.

The staff were so kind and helpful, and the food was tasty and easy to get, with especially good vegan options. They had all the amenities covered, plus nice spots around the grounds to unwind, including a fire pit. I stopped here during my Elbe river cycle tour, and the Bett to go was exactly what I needed. There are also larger cabins if you want more of a glamping stay. Such a good find, highly recommend.

Destinatire Dorf in Hitzacker, Germany, brought back the feeling of being out in wild nature. I spent a lot of time as a safari game driving guide in Pendjari Parc Benin and Lower zambezi Parc in Zambia, Africa, and really enjoyed this concept ❤️✅

A peaceful little hideaway in nature, near the river and the adorable town of Hitzacker. The design feels thoughtful and contemporary throughout, and the food was delicious. Kind service too. Every relaxing minute was worth it!

I can speak to the town's little cafe and bistro, where the staff were good and the food was good too. I can't comment on the hotel itself, but the service all around was excellent.
