The sauna is a lovely extra, and you can book it separately. We’ve been staying at the Reeshof farm with the Zimmermann family for years, and their warmth makes it feel almost like visiting family. The farm and its animals are kept clean and in good shape, and the apartments have never given us anything to complain about. The scenery is beautiful, with something new to find on every hike. We’re already looking forward to seeing Anette and Roland again in January.

We had a cozy evening in the sauna by the fireplace, and the kids, aged 8, 6, and 6, had fun with the farm activities. We spent three days and two nights there in mid-December, in the Schwarzwaldblick apartment. It’s been completely renovated and feels very comfortable. The place sits above the fog in the sunshine, and Freiburg is only a few minutes away. Highly recommended.

The view is breathtaking, and the rooms are cozy with everything we needed. There’s plenty to see and do for people of all ages, and the farm itself is lovely. From the moment we arrived, the hostess made us feel right at home. We had a wonderful short break and would love to return.

That bathroom was a dream, especially the shower, the nicest one I’ve ever seen. We spent a lovely weekend in the Black Forest holiday apartment, which is almost all wood. The furnishings were top-notch and the beds comfortable, which really matters. A microwave was the only thing we missed. We were thrilled! 🤩
