The breakfast was the highlight, with anything you could wish for. We booked this as a deal and were so pleasantly surprised. The staff and owners were friendly and helpful, and the owners' tour is worth doing if you want to learn about the hotel and peek behind the scenes. We came for a spa break and got exactly that. The wellness area had indoor and outdoor saunas and pools, plus two relaxation areas, so guests were spread out and we could enjoy ourselves wherever we went. We also hiked to one of their partner restaurants or huts for lunch. It was well worth it, but tiring if you don't hike regularly, and in icy conditions you should come prepared since the route isn't easy.

The torch walk was a memorable touch to our stay at Hotel Das Rübezahl. The staff were attentive and friendly, and made us feel welcome. Our room was cozy and well cared for, and the wellness area had a relaxing feel and lovely views. The food was a dream, beautifully presented and exceptional in taste. It's a charming Bavarian hotel near Neuschwanstein Castle, a wonderful choice for a relaxing getaway in Bavaria.

The breakfast spread was fabulous, easily the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The restaurant was good, and the service, rooms, and spa amenities were lovely. I can't wait to stay again. The hot tubs weren't warm enough for me, but I loved all the different saunas and the steam room.

I loved the whole place, from the spa options and the care taken with the property to the food, scenery, cows, free bike rental, and free parking. There was even a water fountain in the room. I booked the package with meals included, and they were excellent. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a visit to the Neuschwanstein castle area. Come for the castle, stay for the hotel! We can't wait to return to Hotel Das Rübezahl. The views of Neuschwanstein Castle were stunning, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. Our room felt both elegant and cozy, the spa was pure bliss, and the food was exceptional, beautifully prepared with local flavors. An unforgettable stay where luxury meets heart.
