Ferienhaus Seitz

The snowy scenery in early December was beautiful, with Neuschwanstein in view. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and supplied us with a bus pass for nine days as well as toboggans for the kids. Lovely accommodation!

A footpath and cycle path run right beside the apartment, and the location really is ideal. The garden is lovely, with a great view of Neuschwanstein Castle and a barbecue area. Inside, everything was clean and modern, just as described online. The furnishings were good and we didn’t lack anything. We agree with the earlier reviews, it’s good value for money.

The mountain and castle views from the living room and balcony are a dream. I stayed for a week in the second floor apartment with a living room, and the hosts were friendly. The entrance has a dressing room and vacuum cleaner, and there are cleaning and kitchen utensils. The kitchen is spacious, the furniture is good, and cables in the closet under the TV let you connect a laptop. WiFi runs at 10 Mbps. The huge adjustable radiators are noticeable, but they keep the place warm in winter without spoiling the view. The bathroom is nice, though there’s no washing machine. The hosts can help with laundry, no problem. The floors are cold, so bring slippers. In summer there’s a table and chairs in the garden. In winter they put up a large Christmas tree, and when it snows they clear it with a lawn mower. It’s a bit noisy during the day, but there are no snowdrifts, and guests can borrow a shovel. The bus stop is 80 meters away, and the castles are a 15-20-minute walk. The downsides are no washing machine and having to sort the trash, which was irritating.

We stayed upstairs in one of the two modernly furnished apartments at the Seitz holiday home. From the couch you can see Neuschwanstein Castle, and breakfast on the balcony at sunrise, with the complimentary bread rolls and the beautiful landscape, was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. The scenery is stunning, and you can barbecue in the garden in the evening or walk to a nearby restaurant. This is exactly what a holiday should feel like!
