After a long hike around Hülben, coffee and a slice of crispy fresh cake hit the spot.

The breakfast had plenty of choices, and they were happy to accommodate individual requests. I stayed two nights, and the simply furnished, practical room was quite adequate. Parking and Wi-Fi were free, and the value for money was excellent. I'd recommend it.

There’s parking, and the prices are still fairly low compared with other bakeries. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the cakes are really good, like the kind your grandmother might have made. The bakery has a little café with around four tables by large windows, so you can sit and enjoy the view. Along with savory pastries, there are cakes, tarts, sweet slices, and potato cake once a week, like in the old days at the bakehouse. They also sell small snacks, sweets for kids and adults, other little items, and a small selection of cigarettes. There’s just one step at the entrance, though it isn’t level with the ground. It’s closed all day Monday. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend it.

The hostess was so friendly, and breakfast was first-class. Our room was lovely and very clean, with everything we needed. In the morning, it was wonderful to smell the freshly baked goods on the way to breakfast. We’d gladly come back anytime!
