We’ve stayed here before and plan to return. Service in Reception, the Bar, and the Restaurant was excellent. We ate at the restaurant twice, once as a group of seven and once with three people. The food was good both nights. On the second evening, the steaks came over-grilled, but they replaced them quickly and without any fuss. Couldn’t ask for better service.

We brought our dog along, and she was just as welcome and relaxed as we were. The hotel is very dog-friendly, with forest trails right outside that made every walk an adventure. The peaceful, modern wellness area was a lovely place to unwind, and the meals were creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. Our room had lovely interiors and big windows looking out into the forest. From the moment we arrived, the staff were kind and welcoming, and the whole stay felt personal and relaxed. We had a wonderful time at Hotel VierJahreszeiten and will definitely be back.

The hotel restaurant looked inviting, and the food was really, really good. I understood this was supposed to be the Italian soccer team’s hotel during the European championship this year. The room, though, was very basic, and the shower could have been cleaned better. The main frustration was the high room temperature: the air-conditioning couldn’t be controlled, and reception couldn’t do anything about it.

Chef Marie was the highlight for us. She was lovely, friendly, and so hospitable. We had omelettes and poached eggs, and my brother ordered a chef’s special omelette that we all got to taste. Delicious! The welcome at the front desk was warm, the room was comfortable, and the spa and pool area with its different saunas was amazing. I’d recommend it.

The wellness area was really nice, though we had to use a coin for the locker. The staff seemed kind, but nobody mentioned that the restaurant would be closed on New Year’s Eve. We came down for dinner around 7:30 and only then found out. Around 10:30 or so, they said we could order room service. Why not tell us that from the start? We’ve stayed at several 4-star hotels, and this room didn’t feel like one. Things seemed cheap, especially the bed, pillow, and blanket. The toilet was the nicest part of the room. We don’t feel we got our money’s worth.
