It's a beautiful, unusual spot with a very peaceful feel. The setting has magnificent views, and the location works well for sightseeing or a wine-tasting trip. The owner and staff are pleasant and always willing to help, and the rooms are neat and very clean. I'd be happy to visit again.
We had a wonderful weekend at Hotel Zu den Burgen and would definitely return. It has a cozy, quaint character and a distinctly German feel. Our clean, comfortable room had a modern shower, and breakfast was included each morning. The staff were friendly, and the whole place felt welcoming.
The quiet setting made it easy to relax or explore the area, and the staff were consistently helpful and friendly. I felt completely comfortable at Hotel Zu den Burgen in Kamp-Bornhofen, and would gladly come back. The hotel is beautiful, with a charming, cozy interior in a classic German style. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with fresh products and friendly service.
The staff were very friendly, and we were allowed to check in early. The hotel is in the village, a beautiful pilgrimage site with two castles. For one night, the room was okay and had everything we needed, including welcome chocolate and toothbrushes with toothpaste in sealed packaging. The bathroom felt dated and could use an update, and the shower was extremely cramped, a no-go for people with strong arms. With the window open, we found lots of mosquitoes and spiders in the corners.
We booked a room at the Hotel zu den Burgen for June 20 to 21, 2025, and paid €130.00 by card after checking in during the afternoon. We then drove to the Loreley for a Peter Maffay concert. When we got back at about 1:00 a.m., we couldn't find a single parking space. The spaces are on the street and seem to be open to everyone. We searched for more than half an hour and had no luck, so at around 2:00 a.m. we took our belongings and started the roughly two-hour drive home, which we'd hoped to avoid. Reception closes at 9:00 p.m., so we left the room unlocked with the key inside. We can't understand why a hotel with so many rooms doesn't have enough parking for its guests.
