Gästehaus Windheim (Karlsruhe-Knielingen)

We rented the whole apartment at Sudetenstr. 5 for four adults and a dog. It was well-equipped, very clean and fairly priced. The train station is a short walk away, and Karlsruhe city center is only a few stops from there.

The hosts were friendly and easy to reach. Our upstairs bedrooms faced the street, but with the windows shut we barely heard any noise. The rooms had modern furnishings, a TV and dimmable lights, and there was another TV in the shared common room. The apartment is shared with just one other room, which can sleep up to two more people. The shared bathroom has a tub with a shower. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, plus a dishwasher, stove, oven, toaster and a fridge with freezer compartments. A handy detail, the oven also works as a microwave. For the price, this is a great value.

For work I stay in a lot of hotels, but this lovely apartment offers more for the price than many of them, with a kitchen, internet, books and a balcony. I'll definitely book it more often. We went to the wrong address at first, and the landlord helped us find our way to the apartment 😅

The landlords are easy to reach and try to sort out any problems quickly. The apartments are always fully equipped and very clean. I'd be happy to stay again.
