The setting was lovely, with the option of walking along the Helme River between meals, letting the children play outside, or watching the animals. We held a family celebration here, and the service was incredibly friendly, quick, and efficient throughout. Lunch was okay, although some dishes arrived cold. That may have been because we specifically asked for table service. For around 30 people, a buffet would have worked much better.

We stayed overnight here as a small group of motorcyclists on both the outward and return trips south. The location is lovely and set back from the road, with a large parking lot and good seating outside. Our room was well equipped, especially the very clean toilet and shower. The staff were friendly, the restaurant was comfortable, and the menu had a perfectly adequate choice of regional dishes. Thanks to the kitchen team, we left dinner full and satisfied, and the service was attentive and efficient. We did miss scrambled eggs with bacon and onions at breakfast, though a hot breakfast isn't for everyone. After stopping here on the way down, we were already looking forward to our stay on the way back.

We felt right at home at the guesthouse run by the Patzschke family. They welcomed us with plenty of warmth and humor, and we ate excellent food and had a comfortable stay. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality. We'd love to return.
