Hotel-Restaurant Schieble

The restaurant's menu was very limited, and the prices were rather high. The mattresses were uncomfortable, with the springs very noticeable, and it was noisy from the street as well as from other bathrooms. We booked four rooms for eight people, but one person got sick and we arrived with seven. The hotel still charged for that person, even though they also rent double rooms to single guests. They could at least have been more accommodating for the second night, especially since they saved on two breakfasts. It also seemed odd that the first thing at reception tells guests direct bookings are cheaper than booking online. Without those platforms, we wouldn't have known Hotel Schieble existed. The friendliness of the staff didn't make up for the experience, and we definitely won't stay there again.

We hadn't planned to eat here, but the place we meant to visit up the road was closed for a special event and sent us here instead. I'm glad they did. Everything was fresh and delicious, a welcome surprise full of flavor.

The staff were very friendly, and both the room and bathroom were really nice. Breakfast was excellent.

For the price, it was the best value. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean, simple and neatly designed.
