Such a warm, pleasant atmosphere, and the food was delicious. The service was top-notch too. I recommend it.

Eating on the terrace beneath the linden trees was a dream, and the food was excellent. The staff were prompt and very professional. We’ll definitely come back, though it’s a pity you need to book ahead, which can make a spontaneous meal difficult. Bon appétit!

The inn has a cozy, welcoming feel, and the service was friendly and attentive. It’s often fully booked, so reserving a table is a good idea. I found the cooking excellent, with fresh regional ingredients that really came through. The seasonal dishes offer some creative variety, and the menu includes regional and Spanish cuisine. On my last visit I tried kale a few different ways, choosing it with smoked pork and a hearty boiled sausage. The pork was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, easily the best smoked pork I’ve ever had. Seasonal food seems to be a real specialty here. Hotel & Gasthaus Hirsch has been a family-run business since 1951, in Kernen in the Remstal valley. For a leisurely lunch or a special dinner, I’d gladly recommend it. It’s a real culinary highlight in Kernen im Remstal.

The Hotel is currently closed due to staff shortages, so this is about the restaurant. We tried tapas here for the first time and they were sensational. The breaded cauliflower, lamb, and prawns were my favorites among several very good dishes. The prawns were especially high quality, aside from how they were prepared. The owner was very friendly, and the place feels lovingly run. The specials change with the seasons, according to the website menu, and sometimes they ask you to reserve by phone.
